Personal music devices

For your own personal safety, and the safety of others, we strongly recommend you do not wear personal music devices whilst on the course.  Sections of the course are on footpaths or involve road crossings.  There will be no road closures and it is important that you are fully aware of your surroundings.

Race marshals are on the course for your safety.  They need to be confident you have heard and understood any instruction they give you

Be on the start line 10 minutes prior to their event for pre-race Instructions.

There are no road closures.

There will be plenty of marshalls on course.

First Aid assistance will be available on the course and at Race HQ.

Buggies are permitted on the 10km, 5km only.

Some parts of the course are narrow so it is strictly one abreast.

Race numbers must be attached to the front of your clothing and be visible at all times.

Any competitor taking short cuts will be disqualified and not eligible for merit prizes.

The faster walkers will be refereed by officials of Athletics Wellington.

If you intend to run and walk, you must enter as a runner.
